One minute: from the download to your first search.
Step 1
Your browser may warn you
The installer is not yet signed with a certificate, so your browser and then Windows ask you to confirm.
Edge says “SearchFlow-setup.exe isn't commonly downloaded”: click the … menu on the download → Keep → the arrow next to Delete → Keep anyway. Then click Open file.
Chrome says “This file may be dangerous”: click Keep.

Using another browser? Show the steps for every browser.
When you open the file, Windows says “Windows protected your PC”: click More info → Run anyway.
Step 2
Install
Click Install, then Finish; no administrator rights are needed. SearchFlow starts by itself.
Step 3
Add your mailbox
In SearchFlow, Settings → Add account (the first time, Settings is already open), and sign in with your Microsoft 365 work account.
Microsoft's permission screen lists what SearchFlow reads: your mail and your name. Click Accept.
Working with colleagues? Your Microsoft 365 administrator clicks this link once, signed in as administrator; if that is you, click it yourself. After that everyone in your company can sign in:
https://login.microsoftonline.com/organizations/adminconsent?client_id=19a659cd-b965-44e7-9465-3fbed07d7b21&redirect_uri=http://localhost/
This one click approves mail and files together, for everyone in your company. Details for your administrator: searchflow.be/admins.
The administrator opens that link on their own PC. Microsoft's sign-in page also offers “Have an admin account? Sign in with that account” — do not use that on an employee's PC, because SearchFlow would then add the administrator's mailbox on that PC.
After Accept the browser shows “This site can't be reached”: that is normal, the approval is done.
Step 4
Search
Results appear while you type. The first sync of a big mailbox takes from minutes to an hour; the newest mail comes first, so you can search while the counts grow.
Put words in "quotes" for an exact phrase. Press Enter to ask a question.
Step 5
Files too
OneDrive and team sites need the same one-time approval by your administrator. If IT clicked the link in step 3, that is done and the files appear by themselves.
If not: Settings → the files line under your account → Request access. It shows Microsoft's approval page and a ready-made mail for IT.
